Gault&Millau-listed Japanese restaurant Akira Back is hosting one-off six-hands dinner in May.
The eponymous restaurant from the famed chef is teaming up with Dubai Chefs Collective for the event, which will take place on Thursday May 25 from 8pm until 10pm.
Akira Back’s chef de cuisine Giovanni Ledon will be laying on a special menu with chef Carlos de Garza and chef James Knight Pacheco at the restaurant at W Dubai – The Palm.
The six-hands dinner promises an exciting menu, with dishes including a salad with whipped stracciatella, garum beef tartare garnished with roasted pepper and borage flowers, hamachi pizza with special beetroot cure, a seafood twist to domi puri, Hokkaido scallops and wagyu brisket.
The dinner is AED499 for food only, and AED799 with a drinks pairing.
Akira Back, from the pro snowboarder-turned-chef, is known for modern Japanese cuisine and beautiful views of the Dubai skyline.
The Dubai Chefs Collective was set up in 2020 as a platform for the talented chefs of the city to share recipes, ideas and opinions.
