Fouquet’s Dubai has launched an exciting new cocktail menu with two of the most respected mixologists.

The elegant Parisian restaurant in Downtown Dubai has collaborated with guests Jimmy Barrat and Laura Marnich to curate a new cocktail menu that will impress discerning sippers in the city, and with new cocktails inspired by Hollywood movies.

Barrat – world-famous for his innovative and creative concoctions – brings inventive flair and expertise to Fouquet’s newly launched drinks menu. Together with Marnich – renowned for her refined, modern approach to mixology – the pair have created a menu of carefully curated mixed beverages.

Fouquet’s, which has super views of Burj Khalifa, aims to elevate Dubai’s cocktail scene with the launch of this new menu and make the drinks a staple for the city’s sophisticated crowd.

The new cocktail menu blends tradition and modernity with drinks designed to complement the chic ambience of the elegant French restaurant. Concoctions on the new menu boast high-quality ingredients mixed with creativity to produce luxury beverages.

Famed for its links with art, film, and culture, Fouquet’s has been a mainstay in Paris since 1899. The original restaurant – renowned for its stand-out red awnings – was set up by Louis Fouquet on the famous Champs-Elysées, where it remains.

Film is a recurring theme in Fouquet’s story and history, so Barrat and Marnich took inspiration from several classic movies to design the new Fouqet’s Dubai cocktail menu. These include Belle de Jour, from the famed French flick of 1967 starring Catherine Deneuve and Jean Sorel, and a cocktail made with crepe, lavender Tanqueray gin, raspberry marmalade, Cointreau, lemon, and Crémant brut.

Other movie-inspired cocktails are Apple Mon Amour, from the 1959 classic Hiroshima, Mon Amour, and Fabulous Amélie, inspired by the 2001 comedy romance featuring Audrey Tautou. L’Intouchable Passion de Driss is made with Herradura plata Tequilla and passion fruit, influenced by the multi-awarded 2011 The Intouchables, and Milk for Léon! is a humourous cocktail spin on the Jean Reno movie in which the professional assassin drinks only milk.

Fouquet’s opened in Dubai in Downtown’s Burj Plaza in March 2023, becoming the brand’s 12th venue globally. Following the success of its initial UAE outpost in Abu Dhabi, the brand has also opened venues in Cannes, Saint-Barth, and New York.

When it comes to dining after sampling the inventive new cocktail menu, diners can try classic French dishes such as escargots de Bourgogne, terrine de foie gras de canard, burrata, beef carpaccio, oysters and more. Larger plates include coquille Saint-Jacques poêlées, tournedos Rossini, sole meunière and truffle pasta.

Fouquet’s Dubai is open daily until 2am and has a dining room, café and rooftop bar.
