Meanwhile Riviera by Jean Imbert is set to be a modern Mediterranean restaurant inspired by the chef’s travels. It’s also a first Middle Eastern opening for Imbert, who heads up the culinary team at Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris.

Riviera will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while Riviera Bar will serve Mediterranean cocktails.

A second concept from Imbert will be High Society, a pool bar by day and a lounge by night. It promises an extensive selection of champagnes – billed to be the largest in the UAE – and 180-degree views of Dubai.

Café Angelo Musa

Finally, Bonbon Café Angelo Musa will serve viennoiseries, breads, sandwiches, salads, cakes, chocolate bonbons and ice cream.

The acclaimed pastry chef leads the pastry kitchen at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée.

The hotel’s signature afternoon tea will be served at The Gallery, with sandwiches and scones, plus pastries from Musa. Breakfast, light bites, coffee, wine and champagne will also be available at The Gallery.

There will also be several bars including Veranda, an al fresco garden bar serving cocktails, champagne and wine, paired with tapas and Levantine dishes. Cocktail bar Bitter Honey will focus on, as the name suggests, bitters and honey.

Meanwhile Txkolina will be a speakeasy-style cigar lounge offering more than 45 cigars and fine spirits.
