Renowned chef Björn Frantzén, who runs Frantzén Group, will open his two new Dubai restaurants early in 2024.
That’s according to the group’s website. The restaurants will be Studio Frantzén, a more relaxed dining experience, and a separate fine-dining restaurant.
Both will open at Atlantis, The Palm, in the space formerly occupied by Nobu, before it moved to its new location.
Studio Frantzén promises to be a “luxurious yet relaxed concept with Nordic influences,” seating 220 diners.
There will be a separate bar area, serving drinks made with Nordic ingredients.
Dishes will include the likes of porterhouse steak, as well as blistered lobster with curry hollandaise, pomegranate-infused mirin, dried cloudberries, ginger and coriander butter.
The smaller, fine-dining experience will be set inside Studio Frantzén and will be designed to feel like a living room, while diners will be taken to an ‘elegant rooftop orangery’, overlooking the city skyline.
Frantzén has acclaimed restaurants in Sweden, London and Asia and opened his first restaurant in 2008
“We are both proud and excited to bring our gastronomy to the ever-evolving food scene of Dubai, and there is no better place for us to showcase our immersive dining experience than the culinary destination, Atlantis Dubai,” he said.
