Time Out Market Dubai’s list of Gault&Millau-endorsed offerings continues to expand.
BB Social Dining, Masti, and Reif are already favourites at the Downtown Dubai food hall and they’ll now be joined by new concessions from Jun’s and Alici, as well as French restaurant Odeon.
Chef Kelvin Cheung has devised Little Jun’s for the Market, specialising in Asian-American food, while Onda by Alici will showcase chef Domenico Santagata’s coastal Italian food. Meanwhile, Odeon from chef Thomas Duhamel, specialises in French cheeses.
Kelvin Cheung’s Little Jun’s
Born in Canada, raised in Chicago and now in Dubai, Cheung is Chinese-Canadian chef who uses all of his life, work and travel experiences in his menus.
He opened his first Dubai restaurant, Jun’s, in 2022 in Downtown Dubai, receiving one toque in the Gault&Millau UAE 2023 guide.
The chef created Little Jun’s exclusively for Time Out Market Dubai, where he showcases third-culture cuisine that is a true reflection of his multicultural upbringing.
Chef Thomas Duhamel’s OdeonÂ
Odeon, which has a restaurant on Jumeirah Beach Road, serves classic and rustic French market-style food and is run by a husband and wife team. The name is inspired by the Parisian district where they met.
Chef Duhamel uses well-sourced ingredients to create sandwiches and deli platters. At Time Out market, he’ll be serving the likes of croque monsieur, beef tartare, spinach and goat cheese quiche and platters of smoked salmon Tsar-cut loin.Â
Domenico Santagada’s Onda by Alici
Onda by Alici specialises in the flavours of Amalfi. From Orange Hospitality, which also operates Il Borro Tuscan Bistro, Josette, Mayabay and Alici, Onda by Alici serves chef Santagada’s traditional seafood plates.
Dishes on offer include the raw crudo de mare selection, carpaccio gambero rosso and tagliolini pasta topped with Kaluga caviar and lemon zest.
